Our Norfolk Holiday Cottages

Cottage Holidays with a Personal Service

Our holiday cottages are owned and managed by Andrew and Nicola Banner; we are not an agency. We own and operate our own cottages along with a sister company on the Norfolk Broads that offers Boating Holidays and day boats. When you speak to us, you are talking to people that know the cottages and the areas around them intimately. We provide great value self-catering holiday cottage accommodation backed up by good, old fashioned service, to ensure that every one of our guests has a great time. We offer honest views and opinions as to the suitability of our cottages for each and every customer.

We operate a friendly business that is honest and open throughout. If you have any question at all, please contact us and ask.

Why Holiday in Norfolk?

Norfolk is a popular destination for holidaymakers, but is often overlooked by many. Norfolk has a magnificent coastline and all of our holiday cottages are within easy reach of the local beaches, Garth Cottage is just a 150 yard walk away. Norfolk has many beautiful towns and villages to explore, is home to the Norfolk Broads National Park (come and hire a boat from our sister company!) and has Norwich at it's heart; a thriving city just bursting with history and fabulous shopping opportunities

There really is so much to do whether you like walking, stately homes, bird watching, pleasure boating, water sports, seaside resorts or just touring. The Norfolk coastline offers a myriad of attractions and hosts a number of Blue Flag beaches, one of the largest county collections of Blue Flag beaches in the UK.

Take the children to Great Yarmouth, Britain's second largest seaside resort and have fun at the target="_new">Pleasure Beach, make sand castles along the Golden Mile or enjoy a show on Britannia Pier or visit the fabulous indoor circus that is the world famous Hippodrome.

The Norfolk Broads

The Norfolk Broads National Park is a unique wetland of international environmental importance. This water landscape has 125 miles of navagable waterways which you can explore on board a day boat or cruiser available from our sister company in Norwich Freedom Cruisers. Norfolk Cottage Holidays customers qualify for a discount on boat hire.

The Norfolk Broads is a totally lock-free waterway. Hire from our base in Thorpe St Andrew on the outskirts of Norwich and you have immediate access to the city by river (just 45 minutes) or miles of beautiful landscape, nature reserves and some fabulous riverside pubs!

Medieval Cobbled street in the heart of Norwich City CentreThe ancient city of Norwich hosts many fine historic buildings including the fabulous medieval cobbled street of Elm Hill, and offers an unrivaled shopping experience with hundreds of independent shops around the Norwich Lanes.

A bit of history

A Norfolk holiday is a tradition for many. My own family chose Norfolk as a holiday destination in the 1970s and I spent many childhood holidays on a boat on the Norfolk Broads. Now that I live in this beautiful county, I am pleased to be able to offer top quality self catering holiday cottage accommodation and hire boats to others so that they too can enjoy the delights of Norfolk as I once did.

Our Norfolk cottages are available all year round for self-catering holidays, short breaks and even short term stays, particularly out of season.

We had a very enjoyable week in this very comfortable cottage. The weather has been great which has been a bonus after the rain at Centre Parcs last week. We enjoyed some nice trips to the beach at Overstrand. Holkham beach is beautiful, it is well worth the walk. We also endt rowing on Hickling Broad and enjoyed a trip on the Bure Valley Steam Railway, then a boat trip on the Norfolk Broads. The childres also really enjoyed the boat trip out to see the seals from Morston. Thanks
